A pastoral community situated on the Yadkin River’s east bend in northwest Forsyth county, Tobaccoville was incorporated in 1991 and has a population of 2,637. Named after the Orrender Tobacco Factory in the 1870s, today the village is home to R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company’s largest tobacco manufacturing facility.
