This is a list of information and items that we will need to ensure that you and your pet have the best pet sitting experience possible. You’ll provide most of this information in your online account and you can make updates to your profile before each trip.
General:
- Update all pet and home care information in your online account before each trip.
- Before your first trip with us, notify your vet that Laughing Dog Walks n’ Sits will be caring for your pet. Make sure the vet knows that you’ll cover any vet bills and ask them if you need to leave a credit card on file.
- Lay out pertinent pet medical records for your pet care specialist, including proof of your pet’s latest vaccinations.
- Provide your pets with collars and up-to-date I.D. tags.
Make sure plenty of these items are on hand:
- Medications, even those needed only on occasion
- Food and treats
- Leashes, collars and/or harnesses
- Pet carrier(s)
- Plastic bags for pet waste disposal
- Disposable potty pads (if needed)
- Paper towels (the more, the better!)
- Garbage bags
- Cleaning supplies
- Towels/wash cloths for pet use
Let us know:
- If anyone else will have access to your pets/home during our care
- If you’re experiencing any plumbing problems
- Any hidden places your pet is likely to soil
Pet proof your home:
- Store all medications, including pet medications, out of reach.
- Store all poisonous plants—like poinsettias, mistletoe and Easter lilies—in an area off-limits to your pets.
- Remove foods like candy and nuts from coffee tables or countertops.
- Put down toilet seat lids.
